Is there any research available for the 1-2-3 Magic program?

Last Updated: Aug 22, 2016 03:09PM CDT
Yes, there are several interesting studies that have demonstrated the effectiveness of the 1-2-3 Magic program.

One study involved using the program to dramatically reduce patient backlog in a community mental health center.

Another study employed 1-2-3 Magic successfully with young children in a residential home for children who were separated from their parents.

A third study, conducted in Toronto at the Hospital for Sick Kids and published in the "orange journal" (JAACAP) in 2003, employed 220 treatment families as well as a control group, showed that 1-2-3 Magic not only significantly improved children’s behavior, it also resulted in large reductions in parental hostility, depression and stress.

John Norcross' surveys of thousands of mental health professionals have also revealed that mental health professionals frequently refer their patients to 1-2-3 Magic. On the Norcross system, these professionals rate 1-2-3 Magic 5 Stars (Highly Recommended).
